Choose the product
Select the route that most closely matches your concern. Use the general option if you are unsure.
How it works
Choose the product, answer what you know and check everything before you send. You don’t need to know the legal wording or have every document ready.
The process
Starting the form doesn’t send anything. You can leave at any time before you press submit.
Select the route that most closely matches your concern. Use the general option if you are unsure.
Answer the questions relevant to that product. Use approximate dates or “Not sure” where appropriate.
Enter your name, email, phone number and preferred way to be contacted.
See the company that will receive the enquiry, the privacy information and the consent statement.
The claims firm named on the form reviews what you sent and may get in touch if it needs anything else.
If the firm can help, it will explain the service, any fees and what you need to do next. You can then decide whether you want to go ahead.
Helpful before you start
The exact information varies by product. Missing paperwork does not stop you starting the free check.
The bank, lender, adviser or provider involved, if you remember it.
A year or broad period is often enough for the first step.
What you were told, what you expected, or what later made you question the product or advice.
If you have already complained, say whether you received a response.
After the free check
Sending the check lets the firm review your enquiry and contact you about it. You won’t be asked to agree to a paid service without seeing the details first.
Your other routes
Depending on the issue, you may be able to contact the financial business directly and use the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme without paying a claims-management fee.
Ready when you are
You can stop at any point before the final submit step.
